Title: brand, model, version and years. If it’s a current model, it shows the launch year and a plus symbol: (2024+). If it’s discontinued, it shows launch year and last yeas sold: (2021-2024). How do we classify different styles of motorcycles

Motorbikes were once just bicycles with engines. Then, what differentiated a standard motorcycle from a sporty one was basically the engine. Nowadays things got really complicated, the nomenclature is murky at best, and we had to find a way to separate different styles for our users to find what suits them, using our filters.

The deal with the “Size Estimator” and its issues

The basic idea is to visualize each motorcycle ergonomics. So we take a look at how the lines represent body position and some examples of the issues brought by basing it on photographs.

One cool way to use it is to compare a bike that you are used to, with a bike that you are interested in, but you have to take these limitations into account.
